Update: the food bank is going under and an ad crossed my FB showing this very same man begging for funding lol what happened to "nothing is going to change," mister?
Went to the food bank today to stock up. My mom is on SS and gets treated tor cancer thru Medicaid. The guy there asked how I was & I vented ab my fears and he basically told me “Jesus has it handled DW” and I think that’s a great example of how people use religion as a blindfold.

Being an adult child, looking after a terminal parent who once abused you, is one of the most unfair experiences ever. I want my own life, I want a future, I want to write again. I want to not have to look after this person who didn’t look after me. But I also want them not to suffer alone. Ugh 💔

Chat GPT draws its own conclusions from factual evidence and it is forbade from having an opinion, and yet it is adamantly pro-LGBT. If a fkn computer can tell you queer people deserve love and freedom, then it has more humanity than most of this godforsaken country.

Literally the only thing keeping me alive is indulging in what brings me joy please don’t give up on art it saves lives
I've talked to a few folks this morning who were talking about stopping work on their creative projects. Because it's "not important anymore."
I don't know who needs to hear this, but DON'T DO THAT.
We win by living our lives as loudly and truly as we can. That includes your "silly" art project.

As someone who works with LLMs to improve accessibility features, I want to give a word of reassurance to writers: AI sucks at writing and it will always suck at writing because the people hired to teach it how to write also suck at writing. 🤷♀️
