Ziva! So glad she found her family! This was my girl Pita, she was a street/beach dog on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I moved heaven and earth to get her home with me after I was warned by the locals that she wouldn't make it to her second year because they cull the strays every January. RIP sweet girl.

I’m the same way with my guy Levi. He can’t measure up to my old boy Chet, my best friend that I adored. I’m trying to do better. I keep reminding myself he was brought into my life for a reason, and I need to figure out what he’s here to teach me.

My partner was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer last year. UHC denied most coverage outright; the stuff they did approve where he received care, they *retroactively* denied all the claims, leaving the care providers and us holding the bag. We were lucky enough to able to switch insurance companies.

I just read the CEO's wife said he'd been receiving threats and she thinks it's related to "lack of coverage". Then I saw this little nugget. And with a $24 billion dollar profit last year. It's enraging, and I would dance on his grave after what UHC did to my family.

This might be how I came to be known as 'the crazy dog guy". Dog Christmas present exchange with some friends, around 2010. All but two are my rescues. Those were the best times.
