We conducted an online survey among 581 players to study the relationship between boredom types (e.g. under and overstimulation) and players' preferences for hedonic (fun), eudaimonic (appreciation), & recovery-based (e.g. relaxation, mastery) game experiences.

Tijdschrift voor CW recently published an overview article [in Dutch] which summarizes my doctoral research on eudaimonic game experiences and motives in just 22 pages (compared to the 450+ pages long dissertation).
