Yeah seems like that's the way things are going with altitude camps etc. It will be interesting to see how things play out the next few years for the event.
Mind you it doesn't have to have the absolute top riders to still be a good event. Keeps things interesting.

And the weather would be better (unless you enjoy 35°C+ days!)

In theory yes but can't see there being much interest after World Champs and Lombardia. It also doesn't suit the Aussies who spend the off season here and do the National Champs. Plus now you also have the Great Ocean Road Race.

Definitely less big names out here this time around which is a shame for those of us who live on this side of the world. Not like it can be moved on the calendar.
