Makes sense they’re both in Texas. IMO, it sucks that being politically vulnerable means voting for something aligned with the opposing party. I get that it’s Texas and hard to keep parts of it blue, but this is where we circle back to alienating certain voters. Lose lose situation.

Dems didn’t do ENOUGH for queer people. I saw local Dem campaign ads targeting trans kids. Yes, they want to court us as voters, but when it comes down to it, will they fight for us?? Real easy to throw a rainbow flag on something and say you’re an ally!

Wow, being mean to somebody for not sharing your view. No wonder this country is so divided! I never said Dems would take away our rights, I said they didn’t fight hard enough so they probably lost some voters. I can read, so I know what trump is currently doing.

You should think for a second about saying that these folks “let them win” vs the millions of people that voted R. Millions of people who were told queer kids using diff pronouns are a threat. But these alienated voters are to blame for Harris losing? Same scapegoating, different political party!

Are you a member of the LGBTQ community? You seem like somebody who will suddenly be like “fuck trans people” when one is mean to you. Democratic Party needs to take responsibility for alienating sections of their party, not have morons like you continuing to scapegoat queer people.

I understand this person’s point of view. I am an able bodied person that doesn’t rely on assistance so I had slightly less at stake for this election. It’s cruel to be smug about someone losing more rights, the Dem party isn’t fighting for LGBTQ folks, why would we feel encouraged to vote for them?

Right….1 isn’t..doing much of anything. I saw local Dem ads targeting trans people in this past election cycle. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils doesn’t inspire me to look to the Dems for leadership, let alone make me think they will defend my rights when the time comes??

Republicans spent billions of dollars targeting trans people. Dems barely tried to defend us. Why on earth would we be excited to participate in an election where we could lose rights either way? And kids are being bombed regardless??? This place sucks!!!

Y’all celebrating that a queer disabled person lost their SSI? Hope you realize how terrible it is out in this world for queer people and that neither political party stepped up to the plate for us. And both parties are stoked to kill Palestinians. I understand why this person said that.
