a guy who is literally written to be evil/ a villain gets a pass and becomes everyone’s blorbo but a female character who is complex & nuanced is unfairly labeled as “horrible”, “worst character”, “she makes me so mad UGHH” . y’all aren’t even trying to hide the misogyny at this point

lol i immediately caught it as an excuse, i love her but she’s clearly in denial and flame is clearly a wad. that’s part of why this whole arc is so frustrating, we all know where it’s going and it feels like a waste of time

i’m just thankful for any sapphic representation with fionna at all, but you’re right, i definitely could have used more of it + have it sooner in the season. i think my expectations for this season have dipped so i got a lot of dopamine from a good ep that had yuri in it

this episode is also proof fionna is a chick magnet and was 100% meant to be with women. amen

yes you could argue her love life is messy bc finn’s is, but finn also had WAY more screen time and also room for other plots. fionna and cake is much more condensed, and 90% of fionna’s conflict in this season is romantic drama related. it doesn’t seem fair to me.

i don’t think the release schedule has anything to do with it, im perfectly patient but the story is going in circles at this point. nothing wrong with slice of life but when 75% of the show is the writers forcing fionna into a romantic anime plot that feels like it’s dragging its feet, i take issue

—shoved in only for the fact that fionna’s world doesn’t have magic/ they aren’t doing the dimension stuff like in s1 so they NEED conflict, even if that conflict is dumb. “Fionna wants to go back to her ex & ex is leading her on also she might like another character” it’s exhausting
