it might not even be fully solvable. right now it seems the rich/powerful are implementing their own solution, which is basically a slow genocide of perhaps 80% of the population.

these wealthy people really love their 80-20 bullshit numerology.

they'd be scared if we were driving towards a brick wall because they can see the imminent danger, but climate change is more discovering your brakes have been cut as you reach the crest of a tall hill.

lot of people don't understand what an exponential function is either. they think that the next 20 years of heating will be the same as the past 20 years.
December 27, 2025 at 4:51 AM
but I dunno. I don't have all the answers, just thoughts.

I think we're in this situation because the wealthy don't get taxed. that allowed them to compound their power year after year.

the other stuff is mostly propaganda. if they put a progressive up on the news then people might start listening to progressives. the guns are a method to spread fear.
December 27, 2025 at 3:32 AM
on the contrary, dem voters are the most feared by the politicians, because we are the ones who can threaten their donor's foundation of power.

the government doesn't fear small arms from people who can't even afford eggs, milk, and beef.

the government has drones and satellites and the navy.

I'd be happy with another progressive like fdr.

let's not pretend at any point in time that the government & culture used less violence to enforce Jim Crow laws than the left used to overthrow Jim Crow.
December 27, 2025 at 12:36 AM
I would argue that people's civil rights and voting rights were denied to them via bloodshed & the civil rights act and voting rights act were passed with courage in the face of bloodshed.
December 27, 2025 at 12:34 AM
we passed the civil rights act and the voting rights act. that was democratic.
December 26, 2025 at 5:25 PM
republicans always used to say "america isn't a democracy, it's a republic" well now they are right that it's not a democracy. we're a republic just like the DPRK and the PRC

probably better to let plants and animals have the water and let them evaporate it away. those data centers are more accurately surveillance centers

there's a premier cancer center in my city that's owned and operated by the state.

this is probably one of the best places to get cancer treatment in the entire country - and keep in mind it's run by a state government.

they require a 20k down payment before you start your cancer treatment.
