it still pisses me off to see anything about this game, the main pve mode's revamp was pretty dope, then they decided nft's would be a good idea (it wasn't, shocker) and then they got taken off steam because of that and was exiled to EGS before eventually shutting down then relaunching as a SP only-

hey so I found out there's a free cam mod for Dead island Definitive Edition and the unused section of the hotel is there and it doesn't fucking get culled out. The only issue is I can't bring my character there, but this mod seems to use the same bindings as the dev build's free cam, neat

I'm so mad that a random fandom article is what saved me from any further falling into madness to figure out how to open a .pak file (literally just use 7zip) at least now I can poke at Dead Island's files

I'm so glad I had found a save editor already do I was able to fix it, I am once again kicking my own dick for not recording any of this so far

So I've been fucking with the day one dev build of Dead Island they uploaded by accident, so happy I found an upload and there's SO MUCH unsued area in the fucking Hotel interior????? and I've seen NOBODY mention it?????????????????????
