"If I had my life to live over again, I would have made a rule to read some poetry and listen to some music at least once a week."

Our favourite books every Monday.

Rendevous With Rama was a turning point in my reading opening up sci-fi in a whole new way. Rather understated in comparison to a lot of sci fi delivering a quietly profound meditation on contact, curiosity, and humanity’s small place in a vast universe.

Our favourite books every Monday.

Who has attempted the mammoth task of working through In Search of Lost Time?

I have been slowly working through but it is a herculean task.

The writing is beautiful but dense, and at 1.3 million words in length it is not for the faint hearted.

"It is one of the oldest ironies that are still the most satisfying: man, when preparing for bloody war, will orate loudly and most eloquently in the name of peace."

Our favourite books, every Monday.

Capturing the romance and hardship of creative life, the formation of writing style, and bittersweet nostalgia. A love letter to Paris and a portrait of a writer finding his voice, reading it is pining for this life; in that era, in that place or with those people

New product just landed!

All this cold made us want to expand our cosy jumpers.

Sylvia Plath’s heartbeat “I am, I am, I am”, a reminder of every woman who insists on her own existence, her own voice.

For readers, dreamers, the ones writing themselves into the world.
