“Scent me,” Rou ordered and Wen obeyed. Nose diving straight towards the scent gland at Rou’s neck, biting and licking the spot until all they can smell is each other. “Wen…” “Yes?” “Will you really do anything I say?” Wen could hear his heartbeat in his ears. “Of course.” A quick affirmation. “Then, promise me…” Wen tightens his hold, ready for whatever may come. “Promise me,” “Promise to stay with me forever.” Wen couldn’t help but dig his nose deeper into Rou’s neck, his head nodding a million times. “Yes, I will.” There’s nothing else he could wish for.

Wen submits to his instincts, and ‘takes care’ of Rou during his heat, which includes hours and hours of just the sound of skin slapping sound, growls and whimpers. Rou couldn’t even tell where they started and ended. Wen then proceeds to explain to Rou about himself, how he, as a reptile, had an almost nonexistent scent, even as an alpha but was instead is very sensitive to other’s scents. And how Rou’s heat had triggered his rut. Wen looked down at his hands for the duration of the explanation, scared of how Rou will react towards his explanation. When Wen finishes his explanation and there is no reaction from Rou, Wen chances a peek at him. There were tears running down Rou's face. Wen starts to panic. It really was that bad, wasn't it? Now he will never have Rou's trust. Meanwhile, Rou's head is so full of thoughts. Is it frustration? I-I… I should’ve been clear from the start. Please don’t cry.” It wasn’t until the last line did Rou noticed the trail of tears gushing down his cheeks. Why did… Before Rou can even figure it out, Wen brings himself to eye level with Rou. “I’ll make this right, okay? Whatever you wish to do, I’ll obey. If you want to kick me out right now, I’ll go. If you don’t ever want to see me again, I’ll never step foot into your sight ever.” Wen looked pained as he said those words, but his mouth never uttered any lies. He was determined to follow Rou’s words, even if that meant he has to disappear from his life. After what felt like hours, Rou finally speaks up. “… Anything?” Rou sounds so broken. Wen couldn’t see Rou’s face as he had his head down, but he could feel his heartbreak at Rou’s voice. “Yes.” “Then, hug me.” Wen was taken aback but moved to hug him tightly. He was even more surprised when Rou wrapped his own around his waist, squeezing tight as if he didn’t want Wen to go anywhere.

Wen tries his hardest to resist Rou’s temptations, his courting attempts always go unnoticed after all (damn Rou’s blockheadedness) so if he DID try, he’d risk incurring Rou’s wrath and that’s the last thing he wants. So with a heavy heart, Wen pushes Rou into an empty room and closes the door. Sitting on the floor with his back to the door as a guard of sorts. “I’m sorry Rou… hah.. later… when you’re more lucid, we’ll do it, okay? I’ll give you lots of love and do anything you want me to do. I promise. Just not now… not like this…” Wen pleads from outside meanwhile Rou is whimpering for Wen right behind him.
