The darker tone and bigger scope help make Wicked: For Good a better second act on screen than it is on stage, and stunning sets and costumes with more thoughtful cinematography than the first movie make even the less memorable songs exciting to watch.

Overall the music in the second half of Wicked is still weaker than the first, but a clever score reintroducing fan favorite motifs between musical numbers helps Wicked: For Good more than you might expect.

Sabrina Carpenter swearing is obviously not the most controversial thing to ever happen on #SNL, but you have to imagine network executives are not going to be thrilled about anything that could garner FCC attention. Especially in an already relatively edgy episode.
