The National Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit, referred to as the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit in this publication, has published a report on care received by people with rheumatic diseases between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025 in England and Wales. National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD); 2025. The National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) has published Risking Life and Limb, a review of the quality of the care provided to adults with acute limb ischaemia (ALI). The study found that the overall quality of care was good for 52.8% of patients, with room for improvement in the clinical and/or organisation of care for 47.2 Acute Limb Ischaemia.

National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD); 2025. The Medical and Surgical Outcome Review Programme (NCEPOD) has published A Balanced Solution, a review of the quality of the care in hospital provided to adults with abnormal levels of blood sodium. Centre for Health Economics This paper analyses data from 3,444 renal transplant patients across 19 hospitals in England to understand what drives variation in length of stay. Using multi-level modelling, the study accounts for both hospital-level and patient-level factors, from demographics to institutional characteristics. The findings are potentially important for the development of local approaches to pricing of the kind the NHS is embarking on and indicate that existing data may be of limited use in guiding the setting of local prices. Healthwatch England This report outlines Healthwatch England's research into men’s knowledge, attitudes, preferences, and experiences of healthcare in England. It aims to inform the government’s upcoming Men’s Health Strategy and focuses on three broad areas: improving health outcomes for conditions that disproportionately affect men; improving men’s health literacy and knowledge; and improving support for healthier behaviours and interaction with the NHS.

Patient Experience Library This report addresses transparency in drug company dealings with the UK parliament. All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are often serviced by secretariats run by industry bodies, PR consultancies and health charities. The report looked at 15 APPG secretariats and found that between them they had connections with 40 pharmaceutical companies. Every secretariat provider was accepting payments from drug companies - sometimes connected directly with APPG services and sometimes for other purposes.

Kidney Research UK - November 2025 Nearly 80% of these conditions are inherited, and many begin in childhood. Most children who develop kidney failure do so because of a rare kidney disease. Over 25% of adults and more than 60% of children receiving dialysis or a kidney transplant are affected by a rare kidney disease. Although many types begin in early life, the average age at diagnosis across the UK National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR) is 41, highlighting how long some people wait for a correct diagnosis.
