Those of us that are “white and can pass as straight” might be able to find other employment (we are a rural warehouse) but I worry about my Haitian colleagues because so many of them have significant language barriers that would prevent them from working in retail.

including our warehouse director that is a Gay Black Man, we still have our DEI information @ shift start up. So when the flex workers have their shifts cut I will try to explain to them that it is just us liberals out to “break Bezos”.

Wondering if this is going to affect the atmosphere in my WDE1/QDE1 warehouse. We are majority Haitian staffed. Several of our managers are either black, LGBTQ or woman (or a combination).

For where I live $18.50 is a good wage.

So without my job I will no longer be middle class..

I get not wanting to support Bezos, Just realize that there are over 1.5 million workers you are also not supporting. Here in Seaford DE Amazon is a major employer, and they pay significantly higher than anyone else in town ($18.50 an hour to start). Our warehouse is now offering FT employment.
