We just finished dinner (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, peas, roasted veggies, rolls and cranberry sauce). Now we're watching the Beatles Anthology on disney+.

I have the DVDs, but haven't watched it in at least 15 years. Patric's never seen it.

Patric has been cooking all day and holy hell the house smells great

The John Travolta as Santa singing Greased Lightning commercial is just sad

Patric needed a few things for dinner and went to Vieng Chan (formerly Cooper's). He picked up some fresh egg rolls from the deli and I'm happy to report they live up to all the hype from the West 7th neighborhood fb page.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. My heart goes out to those celebrating with insufferable relatives, I know the pain.

This popped up on shuffle. It would sound right at home on the new Tame Impala album

Everything about this sordid affair has been both hilarious and revolting. I cannot wait for the Ryan Murphy series

Anyone a fan of the Webb Brothers (a band made up of sons of Jimmy Webb)? I was obsessed with them circa 2003, around which time I saw them open for Doves in Seattle and spent much of the main set arguing with them that Maroon is a breakup album.

It's my favorite day! It's the 38th anniversary of the Max Headroom signal broadcast intrusion!

1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who.

You can watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqge...

A friend got laid off today from Verizon. He was a model employee who rose in the ranks pretty quickly after getting hired years ago and this is what he gets in return.

I absolutely adored the first Wicked film. But, sadly, Wicked: For Good is a joyless slog that's (barely) saved by the two leads.

Here's my review (gift link):
Movie review: They should have called it ‘Wicked: Not Good’
It’s difficult to believe the same team made both movies, which they filmed concurrently.

Wicked For Good is emo and not in a good way

I'm in SLP for a Wicked For Good screening. We had dinner at Roti and I swear if there was one closer to my home, I'd eat there once a week

Weird Al Yankovic is the first concert announced for the 2026 Minnesota State Fair. It'll be his seventh time headlining the Grandstand.

As I've said here before, Weird Al was my first concert. Northern Wisconsin State Fair in 1984.

Tickets are priced from $89.25 to $54 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Etix and by phone at 800-514-3849.

This is kind of wild. Despite previously mounting farewell tours, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner will play the new Shakopee amphitheater in August.

Thing is, neither (cover) band has *any* original members left. LS still has Ronnie's little brother up front, but Foreigner's lead singer is new.
Despite no original members, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner will tour in 2026
The pair of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts look more like cover bands these days. Tickets go on sale Friday.
