Now, here is the remake’s best scene. The craft is good! Sanders is a strong visualist. He has lots of experience running a creative set. His team is top tier. And yet, other than the choreography and editing, it doesn’t land for me. See this fall out of the window. It lacks propulsion and energy.

Think how long on set you would need to set this up. The atmospherics. The dust. Smoke. Lighting plans. Extras. It FEELS like everyone has something to do as much as the director and actor. Production and set design. Director of photography. Riggers. I could go on.
