Solson's TMNT comics were some of the first published by another company, and I believe the very first published to feature the turtles drawn by artists outside Mirage.
They started with a "how to draw" comic in 1985 (the only one to feature Eastman & Laird art).

This is true and it's funny that - checks notes - 19 years ago they set up a do-nothing character called Sylux to be a rival to Samus as if it mattered.
BTW it's extra funny that the enemy is a corruption/reference to "stylus," because that's how you played the DS.

My headcanon, which I feel is backed up by the recent movies, is that the busters did indeed pay off their loan before 1989. I mean they've owned the building since the first movie, a joke from Ray notwithstanding that he felt/joked that the firehouse was turned into a Starbucks.

Understanding the Ghostbusters' loan. Unless they paid it off early, the firehouse was paid off in 2014.
