Thematically it needed a bit more of a punch, more along the lines of the Cap and Winter Soldier TV show, which had a great thematic discussion of nationality and American imperialism. Not that they needed to retread that, but a harder look at nationality and race would have been timely.

I expected more from the script. It was essentially a rehash of CA: Civil War with an eighth of the cast. There were a few twists, but all of them in the first half of the movie. If it's going to be a twist movie, you gotta hold a big twist for the end. Ultimately it was very A to B.

The secondary cast delivered. I warmed a lot more to Danny Rameirez's character than I thought. Xosha Roquemore commanded the screen admirably, and Shira Haas played enigmatic and powerful perfectly.

Lock screen. To use the 2 lumens it emits to shine on the stairs at night so I don't trip and break my necks.

So while pure anarchy may not be desirable in practice, it may be something to add into the mix when devising fair systems of social order.

Honourable mention: there is a
#ChristianAnarchy movement which aims to worship Christ outside of any hierarchical system.

However, if a nation suddenly decides to do what they want, or to pull out of the social contract, it becomes difficult to get them to fall back into line.

where no one nation is above the others (hey, I said in theory) and all nations police the other nations and all nations must decide what the best course is for the good of all nations.

An anarchic society would therefore need to have laws, but the weakness comes in enforcing those laws without a dominant power, such as police or a sanctioning body. IN THEORY the realm of international politics is a pure anarchy...

Communism usually demands paying all resources into a central bank for fair distribution by the state, and libertarianism puts individual rights above most considerations and relies on state enforcement for those rights... anarchism advocates that community rights override those of the individual.

There have been various attempts at creating intentional anarchic societies, usually on a small community level, and there have been unintentional anarchies, which are transitionally violent.

There are some ideological overlaps with #communism and #libertarianism, but anarchism is not these.

You can get a flavour of the idea of it in something like jury duty-- at any time you may be called upon to serve the society in a fair, decision making capacity, as an equal member of that society.

Anarchy does not always mean pandemonium or an animalistic free-for-all, it simply means that society does not allow any person, persons, or system to be in rule above it. Politically anarchic societies are very demanding of its participants to be engaged in the political running of the society.

I did the same for my laptop. Windows couldn't run more than my open source word processor, and even that lagged. Installed Linux Mint and everything runs quickly and easily. And startup time is seconds, not minutes.

There's something appealing in that prospect rn

As for police... the penny only dropped when Existential Comics pointed out that if you steal $20 from your employer, the police will be there in person for you. But if your employer withholds a week's wages from you and you report them... they'll laugh you out of the building.
