Hey @jeffpearlman.bsky.social would you ever think about doing a Press Box Chronicles story about Chris Gatling? I remember reading a kids sports story about him years ago and remember him on the NJ Nets, but haven’t seen/heard about him in at least a decade.

@jeffpearlman.bsky.social just listened to your Miami Heat episode of the Press Box Chronicles and loved it, especially as a Syracuse fan! I met Pearl Washington in 2003 at the Boston Garden (then the Fleet Center) during the NCAA Tournament the year Melo/Warrick/GMac won it all.

My 3 year old looks like Ryan Atwood from the OC today.

I wonder what the population is of Jewish banking professionals in their 30s that like Jack's Mannequin?

I'm not trying to be controversial, but I do vaguely recall Cuban pharmacies having Acetaminophen when I was there 13 years ago.

Do you think they will make a Jerry Maguire 2 where they get Rod Tidwell help since he has CTE after his career ended?

Can someone explain to me how it is that Pandora still has a better algorithm for music selection than any of the other big music apps after all these years? #hottake

Is it weird that my favorite song by @guster.bsky.social is a bonus track that despite seeing them in concert 6-7 times I’ve never seen them play live? The song is Jonah for what it is worth.

I am once again reminding everyone that The Handmaid's Tale is not an instruction manual.

Took this pic from the corporate box to make @nick422.bsky.social jealous.

Not sure who else needs to know this, but there are old recorded episodes of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 on YouTube, perfect for when you need background noise to get you into a flow.

This is my semi-regular reminder to you that Dave Chapelle is in the rom-com You’ve Got Mail.

Can you imagine wanting to be the face of transphobia on national television?

Choreography for that half time show was just so cool. I clearly need to listen to more Kendrick Lamar?

Jameis Winston’s people really deserve whatever he’s paying them for how they’ve rehabbed his image. Like at the very least, he should give them some crab legs.

On this day in 2015, I learned that @joshuamalina.bsky.social saved Aaron Sorkin from choking to death on a hamburger at a bowling alley. It is also the anniversary of the day I met my wife ten years ago. What a wild ride it has been a wedding and two kids later.

My Dad’s closest friend from before he knew my Mom passed away yesterday. When I was a little boy, Uncle Pat’s Mom died and we had “Christmas” for him in New Jersey with his Golden Retriever Allie. He looked like Danny DeVito and he taught me a lot of what I know about football.
