The commentary at during intermission of the Met broadcast of Rossini's Le Siege de Corinthe is misleading particularly the comment about Rossini's "building up". This hybrid edition is not like either of the works Rossini wrote. Both were exceptional. Please do better.

In 2014 at the "other" place, there was a discussion about who should sing the national anthem in KC. @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social suggested that it should be @joycedidonato.bsky.social with a post of her singing "Non piu mesta". Great that a media figure advocates for American talent & Rossini.

Although @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social posted this 4 months ago, we think it's more important than ever to recall this gift to New York. Hopefully #BillKristol will continue to enjoy ( and perhaps advocate for ) Rossini. We would LOVE to have him as a member of the Americna Rossini Society.
