And finally, the artistry. The music on this game was unbeliviably good and the character designs all looked fantastic. I absolutely love this game. If ever you get the chance, play it.

It was a single player centric experience, something that got rarer in fighting games over time. It has standard arcade, branching stories for all characters, Chronicles of the Sword and crazy challenges like literally fighting a giant statue from a stage background

There was Chronicles of the sword: A literal (but simple) RTS in a fighting game... specifically for custom characters! I WANT THIS BACK! They even had stats and levels!

The character creator at the time was amazing! I spend HOURS of my child and teenhood making characters (Character below not mine)

You had like 10 whole new move sets and weapons made especially for custom characters!

I love the interface. It was all books. Letters of the keyboard used to cut in the direction according to the button you pressed.
You used to actually go into shops and see cute shopkeepers who got angry if you didn't buy anything!
