The arguments Trump’s DoD is making about legitimate targets could be used against American CIVILIANS. A sobering thought.

FBI Operations "Guide" 🤣 Norms and guides are out with this administration. We need laws with teeth, fines and jail. Nothing else will stop lawbreaking regimes like this one.

The Epstein files will be released soon after the audit of Trump's taxes wraps up.

Trump doesn’t want to release the Epstein files because they will show how Putin is blackmailing him. But we can already surmise that: bsky.app/profile/adam...
I think there’s a non zero chance Epstein helped Russia blackmail Trump. Would tie everything together in a nice little bow
NEW: Jeffrey Epstein said in emails that he had been advising the Russian government on how to deal with Donald Trump, one of several cases in which he wielded his connections to try to influence the course of foreign affairs. w @nahaltoosi

Russia got the Epstein's tapes which is how they've been blackmailing Trump. It wasn't a "Pee" tape, it was an "Epstein" tape.

John Mark Dougan, a former deputy in Palm Beach county sheriff’s office, fled to Russia with copies of files on the Epstein investigation and was in touch with Pavel Borodin, a “mentor” of Putin.

Maxwell lied about Trump's knowledge of Epstein's depravity? I see a pardon in her near future, or at least a "minimum security limo" to go with her minimum security prison.

If the judiciary, our last bastion of lawfulness in these times, has given up on fighting for those laws, we are truly doomed.

And yes, we already lost the Supreme Court years ago.

It is moments like these bomb threats at polling places that all states should adopt Vote by Mail, where citizens have weeks to study the issues, fill in their ballot, sign with their validated signature, and get email tracking the progress of their ballot (received, verified, counted).

A real Constitutional crisis, where the Administration declares itself above the law and starts ignoring courts, is when enough will hopefully be enough for most Americans.

Things are definitely messed up and agree that media, both traditional and social, is making it worse.

I'm positive that enough donors would make $5 contributions to restore the East Wing to its original glory so that there is no cost to the government and no risk of conflicts due to the small values being donated.

100% agree with you. Some of the things this administration does are reasonable things that should be addressed. But following procedures, laws, norms, ethics, and morals is not something this administration cares about.

My main point was that I don't care if we tear down something that was built using (possibly corrupt) private funds, especially since I'm sure private funds, that shouldn't be corrupt due to their small size, could be used to tear down the monstrosity.

The ballroom was built with private funds. I am sure there would be much fewer private funds needed to tear it down and replace with something beautiful and fitting. And those funds could be generated $3 at a time, avoiding the huge conflict of interest so prevelent in the current project.
