I followed their suggestion ..??!!..

One of the best concerts I've seen in the last 2 years - #Wilco at #TheEnmore in Sydney. Also reflecting on the similarities of working in an operating theatre and being in a band. Egos have to be suppressed in the moment so everyone can perform to their best. Concentration and integration of

I am not an expert - but with that rate of change in any natural phenomenon - (10-fold in around 3 hrs it looks like )- one is going to need some very sophisticated warning systems or alternatively create exclusion zones for human habitations in high risk areas.

Early morning dog walk - brisk , cold but the sunlight reflecting off the gumtrees on a winter morning in Sydney is uplifting.

The power of music - walking into the Conservatorium of music Sydney for a workshop and hearing an individual practising their scales is uplifting. How does music work it’s magic?

I always wonder why one of the companies haven’t developed a system that I developed around 10years ago which transmitted waveform and digital data to an android phone using a bluetooth modem. I rested the phone on the pillow next to the patients head during induction intubation. No head turning!!

Insightful article by respected commentator describing the adoption of mysticism + the abandonment of science based reasoning by some political leaders. When potential leaders reject science, they create a vacuum into can be placed any fear-based policies. One example she cites is Victor Orban

And another one for the PK fans - great sound for one guy with an acoustic guitar, great phrasing and that distinctive voice

Here’s Paul Kelly at the Red Rattler in Marrickville a few weeks back - he was in fine form. What a voice and perfect acoustic presentation. (I bought the vinyl and got lucky and won a ticket for 2) Next time he’s in Sydney he’s playing qudos bank arena . Welcome to #GravyDay

An interesting article discussing the benefits of small groups working together to have greater agency and avoid the onerous demands of large bureaucracies. Working in a smaller well-networked organisation with good interpersonal connections may have better outcomes than heavily bureaucratic ones.

Jenny Wong is one of the funniest people. The background stories of these Chinese restaurants in regional Australia is so empathic to both the families who run these restaurants and their relationships developed over decades with their communities.
