On #LancashireDay I’m thinking of my step-Grandad. Paul was a proud Burnley man and never let anyone forget it!

I’m thinking of his love, courage and strength. He passed 2 years ago from Parkinson’s Disease but he never stopped fighting. Lancashire lost a good Labour man that day. 🌹

I love this photo. It’s how I’ll remember John, with Tony and Gordon, fighting for the change for Hull & the UK that he believed in. UK politics is a poorer place today without John. It’s rare for someone to dedicate their entire life to public service but Prescott did just that. Thank you, John.
