The EBU is going to have to deal without the financial input of these two broadcasters. And we won't see the end of it when we eventually withdraw either. This is a highly petty organisation.

If anything IMO the gross display of corruption could push RTP and RÚV to do the same.

ORF's director general sure doesn't seem to care. And let's be honest - that is starting to mean everything.

There’s a clear moral choice to being involved in 2026. And if everything is so worth selling out for, I wish each one of these artists a great Genocidevision.

Sadly for them, there’s a time and place. The contest I’m sure is a great stepping stone and worth their time and investment. However, the music industries they belong to do not hold a gun to their head. Sitting a year out does not mean not making music for a year.

I sincerely can’t take any of the artists seriously and I’m afraid it’s just not a choice. I find participating in this thing so entirely tone deaf.

I’ll find my music elsewhere.
