I heard Alex outlining a real problem of the corporate control of science. The denial of this problem gives rise to conspiracy thinking by those who do not understand the nuances of the problem but are being told there isn't one. The political right/left tribalism around this problem does not help.

An active placebo is just an alternative treatment. Why not use CBT that has been tested as the active placebo? Then you know the active placebo you are dealing with.

You would need to believe in universal solutions to rather ambiguously defined problems. Such that, every person with depression will benefit from one solution.

This war was totally avoidable if that's really what the US wanted. To think it is the world vs Russia is naive at best. This has been a complete waste of Ukrainian life for US company's to now own anything worth anything in Ukraine.

The author claims you have said that brain chemicals like serotonin help regulate mood and emotion. Rather than, when mood is regulated serotonin increases. That's how it reads to me.

This article communicates the brain as being the causation of consciousness, rather than, the brain being the physical correlation of consciousness occurring. Do you take this correlation means causation leap of faith yourself?

Be careful spending too much energy on the Trump bogey man. Trump may just be bobo doll weaponised as a distraction from the real issues at hand. Don't forget to check inside the Democrats (labor party) Trojan horse before you open the gates and accept their promises of such a fine gift.

Isn't the fundamental problem though, that psychotherapy is tailored to the unique individual, whilst any scientific trial can get only ever measure a universal solution? The assumptions inherent must be, this particular mental health condition is universal, and we have found a universal solution?
