I got a spinning wheel! Got it second hand but it was never used by its previous owner. It’s a Haldane Hebridean. Learning to spin on it feels like I’m starting from scratch, but getting the hang of it! #handspinning 🧶

My rainbow fibre is now half done! I still have half left for a other time. I’m really pleased with how this turned out, at times it didn’t look great but the end result is lovely! #handspinning 🧶🌈

#showmeyourknits sweaters from the past, the present, and the future. The first was a crochet sweater I made in 2013 using chunky yarn- the fabric was so stiff! The second is my favourite thing I have ever made- a pink top down raglan. The last is an idea I have for a future jumper 🧶

Any tips for spinning this roving? I have never spun wool with these thin strands before. I use a drop spindle 😊 #handspinning 🧶

My submission for #showmeyourknits baby edition! I loved the rainbow cardigan for my daughter but she never wears it lol. She loves the dress which I made with scraps from another project. Her as a baby in a hat and blanket I made, and a lovey called ‘zero’!

I kept feeling jealous of people knitting on the beach, so I bought mine. I didn’t do much though as there were sand castles to be built and the beautiful sea 🧶🌊

I just finished this scrappy bag. The yarn was left over from various different projects. The lining was salvaged from a baby blanket I made that my daughter drew out of. Had to improvise the whole time as I kept running out of yarn 😂 #crochet 🧶

This was the last spin I started during #TourdeFleece but I only just finished today. My first attempt at a fractal spin, which was fun, and does make a lovely yarn! 🧶 #handspinning

My first time trying #garmentsewing and it doesn’t fit which is super! It was an experiment with scrap fabric so I’m not mad. I forgot that the fabric isn’t stretchy so made it the same length as the elastic in the waistband, so it doesn’t go over my hips- oops!

My last post for #TourDeFleece. Got a bit more done on this spin, and it’s looking really cool, but I think I will need a break from spinning after today! Very pleased with doing some kind of spinning everyday of TDF, and the progress I have made!

Started a new spin today where I am taking a few bits of random wool and merino I found in a charity shop and experimenting with what I have learned about fractal spinning… let’s see what happens! #TourDeFleece

Day 20 of #TourDeFleece and I have plied the single from the tangled yarn I spun, and the Romney sample I got yesterday, to make this lovely little hank. Actually really pleased with this! It worked out in the end 😊 now I’m starting a crochet project.
