Spending this afternoon with Eavan Boland drinking cups of tea and wandering the ideas of exile, home place and womanhood in Cornwall Poetry Library. How I feel being exiled from Ulster, the language of my childhood and adolesence. How a war drove me out. How so many people are displaced by war.

Today I read some of my Ulster Poems at The Poly in Falmouth as the support for a very talented pianist from Portugual Marcelo Montes. One woman said they broke her heart open so she could receive the music. I thought that was beautiful. #poems #Poetry #Ulster #TheTroubles #music
