Spending this afternoon with Eavan Boland drinking cups of tea and wandering the ideas of exile, home place and womanhood in Cornwall Poetry Library. How I feel being exiled from Ulster, the language of my childhood and adolesence. How a war drove me out. How so many people are displaced by war.

Spent today sending out poems to magazines entering poetry competitions and feeding Annie one of our triplets. Love our Shetland Sheep First time we have had triplets. Think Mum is a bit confused. #poetry #poet #lambing #poetrysubmissions

Today I read some of my Ulster Poems at The Poly in Falmouth as the support for a very talented pianist from Portugual Marcelo Montes. One woman said they broke her heart open so she could receive the music. I thought that was beautiful. #poems #Poetry #Ulster #TheTroubles #music
