Her pants are still beat up, and a relic of some of the adaptation she did in her mid-game form. She now also has a half-skirt derived from a torn wizard robe - don't ask where she got it! She ended the game prepared to help teach at a magic school...so, at least she (kind of) looks the part

she started the campaign as a 7ft lizardmen, died and got resurrected as a 4'5" gillman, and then got reformed back into her lizard body

i like to put symbolism into all of her designs - her top has the colors of her tribe and is still rough and tumble, but she actually wears pants now! (1/2)

I imagine a potential story would have Varryx confronting the weight of his responsibilities and attempting to claim the throne not just for himself but to change the world. -insert name- could help give him much-needed perspective in this regard ((idk her name, but her title is "the ooutsider"

on left is a cerulean (might change that, though) who also fled the empire, barely escaping with her life. I dont remember why she left, but after some time she encountered Varryx and has taken it upon herself to be an impromptu bodyguard; older than varryx and had been serving the empire a while

on right is a fuscia who, rather than fight the condesce, came up with a bold plan to escape; he doesnt want to rule but craves the power his status gives him to continue living in hedonism and feels entitled to ascending. currently barely outside the empire attempting to find allies
