It sounds like he has radically underestimated the threat of the Trump presidency.

Frankly, the better question is why does Donald Trump have security clearance? Until we fix that, he'll give (or sell) the information to whoever he pleases, domestic or international, and Musk's clearance will be beyond the point.

Great! Trump, you should thwart the Democrats by eliminating the electoral college! 😉

Funny, I did vote, but it seems that happened anyway.

I guess they thought he was a racist who cared enough about appearances to hire a couple tokens. Unlike most racists historically, though, Trump doesn't even try to hide it. And we elected him anyway! 🤷‍♂️

Biden is not wrong that his son is being targeted for political reasons. Someone else guilty of the same minor crime would not have been prosecuted to this point. Yes, it's still corruption. Honestly, I'd be more inclined to care if the other side weren't orders of magnitude worse every time.

The most surprising number to me here is the net worth that Americans on average define as having "made it": $234K. While that may sound like a lot of money from a young person's perspective, it's not nearly enough to comfortably retire in America!

Totally true. We took a long time to address second-hand smoke, and it's still not perfect. However, I don't think it changes that smokers' choices *mainly* impact themselves, whereas everyone shares the impact of climate change. Not entirely equal, but polluters don't take the worst consequences.

I generally agree, but I question how your alternative suggestion would play out in the real world. You say we should just do everything we can to address climate, instead of setting a concrete target, but I worry lack of a target would keep pushing us back. Then again, that's happening anyway... 🤷‍♂️

We allow adults to smoke as much as they want in their own homes, where they will give themselves cancer, but we have restricted their right to smoke in public places where they might give others cancer. Pollution that causes climate change is much more like the latter than the former.

One meaningful difference is that smokers mostly affect themselves. Second-hand smoke aside, affecting a few close people who *mostly* could choose not to be there, smokers are allowed to give themselves cancer, but they aren't allowed to spread cancer worldwide to nonsmokers.

Like Samuel L Jackson, who also has *had it* with all these mother-f$#&-ing snakes on her mother-f$#&-ing head!

"Allegedly"? Of course it's damning. If it weren't, they'd release it to clear his name!
