Superb image! The group on the right include dog-headed persons. I wonder if they represent those not born into the faith but who have been converted? Strange that they look like women. Can you explain?

That makes sense, although there must have been one or more people leading and/or financing its making. What do you think was the role of Richard of Holdingham and Sleaford who, according to the map itself, 'caused it to be made' (whatever that means)?
