I'd run a hexblood fiend warlock. He saved a Pit Fiend from being trapped by an Artificer (he was his slave, using his blood for potions). They both escaped after killing the Artificer, fell in love but entered in a contract because the Pit Fiend had to return to hell and wanted to protect him.
