Get him on a team that only asks for 25~ games. Shelter him and develop him behind someone like Shesterkin, Oettinger, Vasilevsky, Helleybuck, Saros, or Sorokin. Save this man's career before he is past his best use date.. please!

The question is why does it take him putting himself in the worst possible position to play his best hockey? If he needs to win a crucial game four, five, & six; he has to first lose the three before that. It is why I think he needs to be developed better than he has been in Edmonton.

On top of that he has the role of team scape goat. Every single person sees him as what is holding the Oilers back. His legacy to this point has been the goalie who has failed McDavid & Draisatl. Ironically he typically plays his best when his back is up against the wall (elimination games).
