Last week we published new data exposing the extent of recruitment freezes in cancer & diagnostic depts - as RCR President Dr Katharine Halliday says, "extraordinarily shortsighted" in the context of persistent delays for patients.

This is a good read on the recent radioisotope shortage - which was thankfully pretty short-lived. Hope there are serious conversations happening about how to build resilience in the supply chain going fwd (including potentially a UK reactor?)

Over 420,000 waited longer than 4 weeks for their scan to be reported in the first half of 2024. There’s no way around it: we need more radiologists!
