Musk is already trying to make Ai say what he wants. It is a pathetic and ridiculous attempt now, but with tech's exponantial growth it is only a matter of time for it to actually happen.

What other reason do they have to pour this much money into highly realistic generative AI, other than to deceive and steal? What would they gain from generating realistic minecraft youtubers?

All the world, all the art, love passion, anger, lust, wonder anything we have will be shaped for corporate greed, into their goals. We will be what they want us to be, we will believe what they want us to believe, feel what they need us to feel.

Nothing will be like how you remembered it, but you won't be able to prove it. You won't be able to see it even. Maybe our children will look at a different, altered Starry Night or Mona Lisa in the future if that goes too far. Obv it wont start there but one day, I fear it might happen.

Obviously it sounds crazy and probably won't happen in the near future but I genuinely fear this may happen, especially if we become too depended on online media, owned by companies (books, movies, papers, news etc.) What could stop them from changing it in an instant?

If they can make machine made content about the present and the future, they can change the past too. Not only history but all the literary works, scientific papers, movies, songs, famous art, anything and everything they can get their hands into, can be molded into what they want.

Maybe I am crazy but I feel like there will be a time that we won't know whether anything is real online. They already do deep fakes and such, getting better quality each day. They won't stop at generating crap pics and scams.
