As my last carer of the day was about to go, I smelled burning - fortunately he noticed the fan on the table next to my bed was just about to catch fire, so he unplugged it and took it outside. I don't know what I could have done if he hadn't been there. Kudos to Jamie for saving me and Pepper!

Today I heard wailing and screaming in my house, despite only me and my cat being there. I do hear voices on and off due to mental issues, but this time Miss Pepper also heard it and freaked out! I could really do without uninvited guests of the spooky kind, but it's been happening a lot recently…

it's sad to hear of Pope Francis' death. He was a breath of fresh air for the Church & always saw good in people, even when he disagreed on things. He was a bit too liberal for a lot of the clergy. I won't be surprised if the next Pope is much more conservative & undoes a lot of Francis' good work.

I understand why the UK government is banning puberty-blockers for minors, as it's true that very little research has been done as to the longer-term effects of the drugs on transgender children, and it is important that any treatment should be thoroughly scrutinised and researched.
