He literally just said his primary residence is in France, in several interviews not just the one I posted. He is currently working in NY on a Broadway play and temporarily there. As I said, my original thought in the post you are responding to stands. You don’t have to agree with my opinion.

Maybe he can find that “normal life” in his place in Kentucky. My original thought stands. It does not mean you need to agree with me.

He lives in France with his wife and kids and has homes in the UK, in Italy, and is currently working in NY. He does not live in the US.

George Clooney lives in Europe in his multimillion dollar mansions. Easy for him to play the role he played.

Maybe they should ask George Clooney to write a letter expressing outrage. They kicked Biden to the curb when he was governing. Leave the man alone. The Obamas and their consultants are busy making money.

Thanks for this. I kept trying to figure out where to watch and you pointed me in the right direction.

I see what you mean but they did hire an architectural expert who decided to use the tool for those 3 images. The production designer actually designed the building that is at the center of the story. She explains here: www.dezeen.com/2024/12/19/c... Got to go. Thanks for the the nice exchange!
"There is no more controversial style of architecture" says The Brutalist director Brady Corbet

Sorry, I could not find the article on architects. I will look for them. I read the quote about how the architectural consultant they hired to work on the designs used an AI tool for renderings. I don’t like GenAI and agree that is a slippery slope. I just don’t see people being replaced by AI here.

Can you share the stories you mention? Thanks.

Having seen the movie, it is not about about architecture. I would be interested to see what architects are saying because the movie is historic fiction about immigration, capitalism trauma. The building is a metaphor. Also, architectural designers use AI tools to assist with design concepts.

Read Corbet clarification.

No one was replaced in The Brutalist by AI. Here is the explanation of how the creatives used the tools: www.indiewire.com/news/general...

Nope. Prohibited under current US sanctions, as are most exports. One would hope journalists would do their research on this and understand current laws and fact check him, but I won’t hold my breath.

I agree it was unnecessary considering only those who speak the dialect would know the difference. It is what they get for having a native speaker editing. I love the movie and find the outrage overblown for a movie that is mostly in English but it is interesting to read different perspectives.

Right. It was use deliberately in post production, editing to clean up the pronunciation of certain letters, apparently, accompanied by dubbing and other techniques.

They apparently did exactly this and used AI only to accentuate the pronunciation of certain letters.

This movie has a 15 minutes bathroom break in the form of a built in intermission.

I am a TS fan and agree about her character, but we need to strive for factual accuracy or we end up acting the same way as those many of us criticize. It is concerning to see accounts this big post images with no source.
