Absolutely flabbergasted to have passed my viva yesterday with no corrections and officially be Dr Rosa Maryon. Huge thank you to Dr Ian Bruff and Dr Amal Saad for their thorough reading of, and kind engagement with, my work and to Professor Marysia Zalewski for chairing proceedings!

Yesterday me and my lovely research assistant (6 week old baby Ivy!) sent off our work in progress paper ‘Security Assistance, the donor cartel and the Tunisian neoliberal security state’ which I will be presenting at Cardiff International Studies Research Unit seminar next Wed at 4pm

Hey all. First post on here. I’m currently on mat leave after having my second child 4 weeks ago and my current thought of the day is that while you can get childcare for a few hours but there is no time off from the mental load of motherhood
