Alas! Yes it's to be pruned after flowering. It's a messy shrub and needs keeping in check. But absolutely glorious, I have one near the back door which is exactly the right spot to get a whiff as you go indoors. It strikes very easily from cuttings btw so 🤞

I read it on the day and EVERYONE loved it, it was absolutely PERFECT especially as the groom has a love of kingfishers, it was like they were the 2 kingfishers and "never learned to disbelieve". They are an older couple who have come a long way to get here. THANK YOU JO! A wonderful poem ❤️

"Can we have something about boating or rivers or canals?" as they have a narrowboat and canal journeys have been a big thing in the family for a long time. I said I would look... found waterways.org and your poem "Channelled" threw itself off the Internet and into my brain. Bride & groom loved it -

I remember a study done a few years ago that looked at the pollen in honey and it was mostly tree pollen. It was on R4 probably, one of the science programmes. Lime, hazel, chestnut etc, not just the ones with pretty blossom.
