Very true. Erosion by “efficiency cuts”. What’s efficient about depriving youngsters of the opportunity to learn & explore in a world of books or cut off the old isolated lady from her mobile library? Nothing. It penalises the rural poor & the kids from bookless homes.

The blue is deeper & has violet/purple tones in it. The Spanish bluebell is a pale blue. There are both in the garden I inherited but I treasure a special patch of the native ones.
