Oh, one of the pinks got much lighter once they dried! And the wool-silk is lighter than the sock yarn. One sock yarn is already claimed, but the other two are for sale. Message if interested?

I just wanted to use up some leftover dye. The one on the left started with a gray base and got jewel tones. The one on the right was white and just did that. I hope I can do something like that on purpose next time!

The colors got a little lighter as they dried, but didn't shift towards what I expected. A friend pointed out that that is an extremely spruce color, so I'll just have to blame the sample swatch at the store for my expectations of green.

I think this angle shows the range of color the best. I was surprised that the purple stayed so dark! The blue settled on something more bright than dark, but the real magic is where the fades reach each other.

I needed to use up some dye, so I decided to see what I would get. First pic is how I applied the colors, and second pic is where the color spread to by the time it was exhausted. The hardest part was not stirring.

My camera fought me so hard. It really wanted to make that green a lot bluer. I think the yarn reads a bit darker IRL, but my photography skills only go so far. I'll have these at Gamex next weekend. Now back to soap making!

The results of my yarn soop. I was trying to also get a swatch to save and I guess the scrap wasn't 100% wool, because it took the color very differently.
