Another year full of video games, and as 2025 comes to an end, I'll be looking back and picking out my top ten titles. There are two simple rules for this list: the game must have been officially released during 2025 in some capacity, and I must have played it. This year, my top ten is coming from thirty-four different titles I played throughout the year.

Christmas spirit is lacking in Hanamichi Town in the forty-fifth episode of You and Idol PreCure following the Darkranda attacks. Idol PreCure take it upon themselves to bring some festive cheer to the town.

No honourable mentions this time around, just focus on a single game. One that was originally announced all the way back in 2017. We've been waiting for this one for a little while, but now we can finally play it.

Halloween has arrived in the thirty-eighth episode of You and Idol PreCure. Uta is afraid of ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns, though, so it's not exactly her favourite time of year. Maybe Nana can help her overcome her fear.

This month, we return to a certain city whilst catching monsters; specifically monsters that are capable of fitting into your pocket. Before that, however, the latter half of September going into October saw a lot of video games being released that I had more than a passing interest in, so I've got a fair few honourable mentions.

Mio faces her strongest opponent yet in the eighth volume of Eri Ejima's Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games manga: her own mother. This is an opponent she'll want to overcome, or else she'll have to give up on her beloved fighting games forever. This volume contains chapters forty to forty-four.

The leaves are falling from the trees, which must mean that autumn is upon us. The new season brings along with it new anime, so I'll be sharing my initial impressions of each show I've chosen to watch this time around.
