I've never seen my adopted home (North of England) share the SAME summer temperature as my native one (Sicily, Southern Italy). It's 32 degrees in York. I'm frightened.

My latest for the Big Issue is a piece looking at what steps the cruising industry can take to get better 🛳️ instead of just getting bigger...📈

Can cruise ships cut emissions and become good for the climate?

I’m phasing out my use of X, but I find it tricky to abandon it because there are so many calls for pitches from editors. 🔏

If you are an editor who’s moved from X to start posting calls here, let’s follow each other! Put the past behind us, commission Elon-free articles..

Friends who care about the work we do at @journoresources.bsky.social — can you buy a copy of our magazine? November and December are a super tough time to pay the bills as job adverts and sponsorships dry up, so this year we’re aiming to sell 400 copies 🥹

Hello Bluesky! Let's inaugurate this new social with some ✨opinionated✨ reporting I've done recently.

Uniting two of my favourite things (1. writing about food; 2. writing about books), here's my review of Stanley Tucci's latest food memoir...
Stanley Tucci’s new food memoir is warm but lacks depth
The actor's book gives the reader a chance to reacquaint themselves with a celeb who feels like an old foodie friend
