I apologize if it comes off as I’m attacking you. It’s not about you. If people like you, intelligent engineers, would be in charge in implementing this, I think you’d be correct. That’s not what we have. The incentives are not aligned.

It feels like what you’re advocating for would make the Beirut nitrate disaster look quaint when the company screws up. Same idea, massive amount of stored potential energy going off because of incompetence.

Our utilities can’t maintain enough to keep things from burning down. I can’t even imagine the devastation when they screw up storage of hundreds of thousands of gigawatts in battery storage.

Well, I’ve lived in California for a couple decades. I respectfully, strongly, forcefully disagree about the benefits of centralized power management in our hyper capitalism society.

Yes yes someone in the internet now going to get all comic book guy and say you cal graft these things together yourself.

And people aren’t going to. There’s a reason people buy into Apple systems. So they don’t have to concoct things.

It’s so frustrating. We are so close.

It’s extremely frustrating the best company out here for customers has a massive shithead in chief problem.

Tesla has the full experience, the panels, the batteries, the cars, connectors and app. And it works really well. No other company comes close to a Tesla power system.

As an Old that’s been around desktop Linux since Redhat 6

- things are generally vastly improved. Ubuntu helped greatly.
- most being browser or electron based helps, for better or worse
- Wayland is a huge mistake. It’s terrible with amd, intel and NVIDIA. 15 years in, still atrocious.

“noted that they believe that Marodi knew the perpetrator and are treating this case as a potential domestic violence incident.”

It’s disingenuous to leave this out. Implied narrative is harmful regardless of what side it’s from

And with this diagram I also learned the Union Jack is an amalgamation of different territory flags!

I mean the UK/Scotland/Ireland/Northern Ireland situation is confusing for anyone not living in it. I always have to go remind myself on what’s a part of what after brexit. We have an equally awkward situation with Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

I CONSTANTLY ponder the butterfly effect of if Lowtax just let that guy post his loli crap we wouldn’t have 4ch, it’s derivatives, and might not be in the political mess we are today.

I recently tried tailscale for exactly this and it works great. Much of their tech is oss or reuses existing oss projects. The paid plans are the traditional supporting oss model by paying them to run the infrastructure so you don’t have to. tailscale.com/blog/how-tai...
