We had an anti racism protest in my rural town today - queue all the calls to cancel it out of respect of what happened “because immigrants” even though they were British 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I hate it here. Racists quite happy to declare themselves racists now

I don’t know if you’re talking about me, but I didn’t know about any of that because I don’t earn loads, it was a fiscal drag thing which they’ve now corrected (raising all the thresholds much higher). It took me by surprise, hence the fuck up my benefits

No I didn’t know what I’d get for the bonus until I got it 🤷🏻♀️ I didn’t know about any of those charges because I’ve never earned anywhere near enough, it’s fiscal drag - they’ve since raised all those thresholds I just got screwed that year

got a bonus last year which pushed me into higher rate tax threshold, having to pay back all my child benefit, marriage allowance and pay additional tax on my medical insurance - I’m down about £10k from a £9k bonus 🥴 am single earner with disabled husband, and they just cut his PIP too FML

I lodged a complaint and they didn’t even bother writing back 🤷🏻♀️ it’s been 3 weeks now so I’m guessing they just deleted it

my Husband lived on IRL here for 15 years because citizenship is very expensive and has no real tangible benefits (he’s commonwealth so full voting rights anyway). We don’t travel much so IRL was perfectly adequate. We were under the ludicrous impression that “indefinite” means forever 🤷🏻♀️

Yep. My husband is not British and has been getting shit for his accent - the racism and xenophobia is off the charts. Heard a college kid call an Indian the P word last week, my husband objected and the kid squared up to him 🤦🏻♀️
