Rant - coming from backend development, last ui I did was 20 years ago - I would have expected this to become easier over time. Playing now with some flutter development - omg how did this become so spaghetti complicated instead of simpler!

Social networks are today's backbone of communication. But they are controlled by private entities. Shouldn't it be a public resource? Can we create a social network held by the people and not owned by a closed corporation? It's not just about a decentralized network from a technological aspect. >>
