Good job bringing joy to the world! Really. I mean it. Small ways, big ways. It all matters.

It's a journey and one that everybody should be allowed to take at their own pace, at their own comfort. It sucks that parts of your journey were mmarred. Glad you made it this far, though.

So they're just being lazy and cheap?

Yeah, this excuse doesn't hold water. At. All. It's a flimsy pretext at best, because it's entirely illogical. I have to wonder what the real reason is and how long before it comes out.

I have a problem with spiders, but not when it's in text. This didn't trigger my aversion. It's still creepy af, but normal creepy to this arachnophobe.

Old land--land that has been under the same ownership for generations--attracts monsters. Kate is the latest owner of her family's campground, which is unquestionably old land at this point, and which attracts a delightful* assortment of horrors.

(*To me. Not her.)

It's pretty rare that a book hits me with the compulsive "you need to finish reading this, screw writing your own book, this one is RIGHT HERE," but this one did. I read the last fifty or so pages in a dead heat, desperate to finish.

Yeah, but this toy was made by China. It's going to censor based on their views. The problem in the US still exists, but it's irrelevant to this particular conversation.

That will be one of the examples in future history books to show just how fucked up our dystopia was.
