I planted a bunch of these Thuja Arborvitae trees and have noticed this rust color spreading on them 😧

Callie has super powers…she’s a heat seeking dog!
My compost pile must be heating up because I keep finding her lounging on it😂
Fortunately I cover the outer layer with fresh straw so she doesn’t get too stinky 😅

A squirrel and squash at sunset 💗 I think this is the same squirrel that has a nest above the chicken enclosure.There have been territorial disputes between the squirrel and the chickens.They do appear to try to avoid each other when possible, so that’s good. Stay tuned for updates! 👩🌾

This is how I tip folks that help me in the gardens or with landscaping.
The person this is for was having allergies so I gave them some of the goldenrod growing around my gardens to make tea with.
Goldenrod also can be used topically as an anti inflammatory.

Plant food: combine big scoop of compost with stinging nettles & top it off with water; leave covered until it’s time to feed the plants. Pour half of the liquid into two 5 gallon buckets. Dilute with water. I’ve noticed increased growth in my plants so it must be working!

There were huge 40’ white pines growing all around our house a few years ago…one fell and clipped the edge of our house.
So we took the pines down to keep our home safe and decided to plant these Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae to replace them. They grow 3-5ft a year…can’t wait to see them grow!

There were huge 40’ white pines growing all around our house a few years ago…one fell and clipped the edge of our house.

I’m finally getting my cucumbers to grow!
I tried repeatedy to grow them in a spot that turned out to be too hot and sunny.
This year I planted my cucumbers in a spot that gets shade the first half of the day and sun the second half of the day.
They definitely prefer the new spot (microclimate)🌱
