Every social movement that brings positive change starts with the creative people. The labor movement, abolition, civil rights, the Beats, the punks. It's always the creators. Look to them for answers.

In these dark and confusing times, look for creative people. Fascists hate creativity.

One of the tools that Trump uses is to make people feel demoralized. And he's good at it. But the antidote to that is art, community, and hope. Stay connected. Stay curious. Don't let them take that from us.

The Bishop who spoke to Trump was explaining the ideology of Jesus. He calls that "woke." He's like, the literal antichrist. The opposite of Christ.

2/2 I think people need to just identify it, and move on. He's a fascist. End of story. He supports the modern German fascist party. If you can't see that plain as day I'm done talking to you. Your brain is not functioning. It's gonna be a long four years.

1/2 Been thinking about the proper response to the Musk salute. It's difficult because he's a troll and he wants the response. But also like, how do you not respond to that....

As a former Evangelical it's insane for me to see how they have embraced the literal opposite of their faith. And denounce a person reminding them of what the bible says.

It's bizarro world.

I think the most effective way to resist this modern fascism is to model prosocial behavior. And call out antisocial behavior.

Prosocial- be kind, helpful, generous, protect the marginalized.

Antisocial- things like Musk and his salute.

Normalize the good. Call out the bad.

Refreshing to see a person of the cloth actually say the real message of Jesus. Blessed are the merciful.

Bishop confronts Trump during sermon at inaugural prayer service
At a sermon preached to President Trump at Washington National Cathedral, Bishop Mariann Budde asked him to "have mercy" on people who are "scared," including LGBTQ+ children.

How do look to the future and create a vision of hope and unity? That's where my brain is right now.
January 22, 2025 at 2:55 PM
You can get a lot of engagement talking shit about this administration. But what good does it do if we're not building a new vision for the future?
January 22, 2025 at 2:54 PM
The issue of our time is figuring out how to not give energy to the negativity, and still stand up for the marginalized. Don't have the answer, just processing the question.

Are there any musicians on here?!?!
January 21, 2025 at 5:44 PM

The takeaway from today is Elon Musk did a Nazi salute and Zuckerberg checked out Jeff Bezos’ wife’s boobs. Sounds about right.
January 20, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Elon Musk doing that salute huh? Can’t say I’m surprised.
