They usurp power not granted by statute or the Constitution.
Under D.C. Code §16-3501–3503 and federal common law tradition, citizens or the Attorney General can bring Quo Warranto actions to remove or restrain officials who act unlawfully under color of authority.

Quo Warranto (“By what authority”) is the ancient writ used to challenge whether an officer is lawfully exercising the power of their office.
In modern U.S. law, it’s used when:

An official acts outside their lawful scope (e.g., invoking “national security” for actions not authorized by law).

When you confront MAGA extremism, do not do it as an outsider. Do not wave the banner of the left, they have been trained not to see it. Instead, stand your ground and speak in the language of their claimed values.

When you do this, they cannot dismiss you as foreign. They must address the message, because it wears their own colors. We are not pretending to be Republicans, we are reminding America what it's meant to mean

The others, the authoritarians, the idolaters of wealth and grievance, are the impostors, the RINOs in truth. We reclaim the flag they stole and make them explain why they abandoned its meaning.

That is why the answer is not departure, it is occupation. We must declare, loudly and publicly: We are the Republicans now. We are the constitutionalists, the protectors of liberty, the guardians of family, faith, and fairness.

Congress does not fear the opposition; it fears its own voters. And when all the reasonable voters walk out the door, only the mob remains to be feared. This is why we must reclaim the name Republican, no matter what your political ideology really is.

They have made it so that any argument spoken from outside their wall is dismissed as heresy before it is even heard. So if the left wants to reach them, if we want Congress to hear, if we want the country to heal, then we must speak from inside the Republican wall.

That is the flaw in our current resistance. We have allowed the authoritarians to claim the name Republican and to wield it like armor. Republicans who were not maga fled to the left, so now the left needs to replace them.

The echo never makes it to the other side because the canyon itself is built from the party line of our corrupt two party system. Every word that comes from the left dies before it reaches the ear of the Republican representatives who fear their MAGA rhino base, more than they fear their conscience

My fellow citizens, There comes a moment in every republic when truth must change its uniform to be heard. We are living in that moment now. For too long, virtuous Americans of the left, who believe in law, decency, democracy, and real patriotism, have been shouting across a canyon.
