The speed of light isn't necessarily an upper bound. Theoretically, it could just be a boundary where things slower than the speed of light can never reach the speed of light and things faster than the speed of light can never slow down enough to reach the speed of light.

The new capabilities are impressive, but incremental.
Don't get me wrong, what Open AI has done is a phase change akin to PageRank's utility over the hand compiled web indexes of the 90's.
But it's just solving ever more obscure solved problems.

How do we avoid the tragedy of immortal corporations and institutions waiting out people until they die for profit? Or victimizing people that don't have the means to fight back?
A type of public interest lawsuit should exist, where if one is wronged others can take up the banner on their behalf.

My family has an unusual Thanksgiving tradition:
We bring a dish of the food or drink we are most thankful for.
We can invite whomever but we must make their dish.
